Synopsis
In 1959, a producer of flop musicals, Max Bialystock, teams up with a timid accountant, Leo Bloom, to produce the worst musical of all time. They raise two million dollars to stage their $100 000 flop and plan to pocket the rest when the show folds. And so, their tasteless adaptation of the worst play of all time, Springtime for Hitler: A Gay Romp with Adolf and Eva at Berchtesgaden, is staged by the worst director of all time, Roger De Bris. – Miraculously, their show turns out to be the satirical hit of the season and Bialystock and Bloom find themselves in more than a spot of hot water.
